Jamie Durie is an engaging MC and one of Australia’s most recognisable and successful talents, renowned for his passion, energy, and charisma. A qualified horticulturist and landscape designer, Jamie is the founder and Director of the international award-winning company PATIO Landscape Architecture & Design, and a pioneer of the ‘Outdoor Room’ concept that has transformed garden design in Australia.

Jamie is also a celebrated television host and producer, having led top-rating programs such as The Outdoor Room, Australia’s Best Backyards, Backyard Blitz—winning a Logie Award for Most Popular Male Talent and six consecutive Logies for Most Popular Lifestyle Program—The Block, and Torvill & Dean’s Dancing on Ice. He hosts America’s longest-running gardening program, The Victory Garden on PBS, and regularly appears on The Oprah Winfrey Show sharing garden advice and inspiration.

An accomplished author, Jamie has published six best-selling books and developed his own successful line of merchandise, PATIO by Jamie Durie. His design philosophy draws from the natural beauty of Australia, extensive international travel, and his Sri Lankan heritage, combining these influences to create distinctive outdoor living spaces.

Jamie is a committed environmentalist and philanthropist. He trained with former Vice President Al Gore as a Climate Change Ambassador, regularly delivers environmental lectures worldwide, and serves as an ambassador for PLAN International, the Children’s Cancer Institute, Planet Ark, and National Tree Day. He has also hosted the Australian Conservation Foundation’s Spirituality and Sustainability Forum with His Holiness the Dalai Lama and is a former board member and ambassador of the Royal Botanic Gardens Foundation, Sydney.
