Prue Adams is an international award-winning journalist and documentary maker with more than 35 years’ experience across television, radio, print, online and social media. Based in the Adelaide Hills, she has built a career defined by curiosity, integrity and a deep commitment to telling the stories of rural Australia.
Her media career has taken her around the globe — from hosting her own radio program in a Californian ski resort to working as a TV news reporter and presenter, and later as a current affairs journalist for The 7.30 Report.
But her most defining chapter was the 25 years she spent with the ABC’s flagship rural program Landline. With a camera crew and a suitcase permanently on standby, Prue travelled extensively throughout Australia and overseas, researching, producing and presenting stories crucial to regional and agricultural communities.
Through her company, Prue Adams Media, she continues to champion rural storytelling across audio, video and written platforms. Her extensive presentation experience has also made her an in-demand conference MC, facilitator and speaker.
Prue serves as Vice President of Rural Media and Communicators SA/NT, sits on the Australian Council of Agricultural Journalists committee, and is one of three international judges for the IFAJ Star Prize Awards, alongside colleagues in Canada and the UK.
Well known and highly regarded in agricultural and rural circles, Prue brings deep expertise, credibility and warmth to every stage she steps on.
