Paul Sironen, nicknamed “The Beast,” enjoyed an impressive international rugby league career as a second-row forward for the Balmain Tigers, playing in the 1988 and 1989 Grand Finals, and later representing New South Wales in State of Origin and Australia. He was named in both the Balmain Tigers and Wests Tigers Teams of the Century and finished his career with US Villeneuve in France, helping them win the 1999 French Championship.

Affectionately known as Siro, Paul also served in the New South Wales Police Force and played American football on scholarship at the University of Hawaii. His rugby league legacy continues with his sons, Curtis and Bayley, both professional players.
