Paul Field is a renowned singer, author, producer, director, scriptwriter, and former Managing Director of the internationally acclaimed children’s entertainment group, The Wiggles. With over 35 years in the entertainment industry, Paul has been a driving force behind some of Australia’s most successful music and television projects, overseeing more than 12 TV series and 42 videos broadcast in over 100 countries.
A founding member of the band The Cockroaches alongside his brother Anthony Field, Paul achieved Gold and Platinum album status in the 1980s and continues to produce music, including the 2011 top-ten country album The Field Brothers, 1964. His career spans collaborations with iconic artists such as Kylie Minogue, John Fogerty, Lou Diamond Phillips, Slim Dusty, Troy Cassar-Daley, and Kasey Chambers.
Paul’s achievements extend beyond entertainment. He has contributed to numerous social causes, including UNICEF, Starlight Children’s Foundation, SIDS & Kids, Red Cross, and Action Aid. He has also written the documentary Everybody Clap, Everybody Sing, produced The Wiggles tribute album Rewiggled, and helped curate The Wiggles Exhibition at Sydney’s Powerhouse Museum.
Prior to his entertainment career, Paul studied at the Australian Catholic University, taught English, History, and Drama, and worked with the Supreme Court of New South Wales and the Royal Commission into the NSW Police Service. Under the pen name Sean Padraic, he authored Sympathy for the Devil (later re-titled Confessions of a Crooked Cop), an exposé on police corruption.
A respected industry leader, Paul is a former judge for the ARIA Awards and the International Emmy Awards, and in 2008 was elected a member of the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. In 2020, he retired from The Wiggles to pursue new creative ventures and now shares his insights as a guest speaker, inspiring audiences with stories of resilience, creativity, and leadership in the entertainment industry.
