Dr. Ian Lin, B.Sc., M.Sc., Ph.D., FIEAust., CPEng is a business and social strategist, futurist, and thought leader on the trends shaping societies, economies, technology, governance, and the environment. He helps organisations and individuals develop the foresight, imagination, and wisdom needed to navigate and thrive in a rapidly changing, complex world.

Dr. Lin has advised both government and private enterprises on corporate innovation, cross-cultural communication, multi-cultural business networks, and the cyber intelligence and multidimensional strategies required to succeed in the Global Network Society of the 21st century. He has served on numerous advisory boards, including the Australian Government’s Trade Policy Advisory Council, the Asia in Australia Council, and the Bureau of Immigration, Multicultural and Population Research, among others.

Academically, Dr. Lin has held senior positions including Professor of Engineering and Director of the Centre for Engineering Management and Innovation at the University of Sydney, President of the Research Institute for Asia and the Pacific, University of Sydney, and Visiting Professor of Management at the Australian Graduate School of Management, University of New South Wales. He has lectured extensively in graduate business schools throughout Australia and the Asia-Pacific region.

A prolific keynote speaker and contributing author, Dr. Lin was Australia’s business representative at the APEC Human Resources Experts’ Conference and foundation National President of the Hong Kong–Australia Business Association. He is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers, Australia, and continues to inspire audiences with insights on innovation, strategy, and the future of business and society.
