Brooke Hanson OLY OAM is an Olympic Gold and Silver Medallist, motivational speaker, media personality, and advocate for energy health and wellbeing. Making her Australian Swimming Team debut at the 1994 Commonwealth Games, Brooke went on to represent Australia more than 25 times at major international championships. In 2004, she achieved a childhood dream, winning Olympic gold and silver medals in Athens, and later made history at the 2004 World Short Course Championships with six gold medals, including five individual titles and a world-record 4x100m medley relay.
Following her elite sporting career, Brooke has dedicated herself to empowering individuals and organisations to achieve personal and team greatness. She delivers high-energy keynote presentations on resilience, energy health, motivation, leadership, and achieving balance in life, blending her personal journey of determination and positivity with practical tools audiences can apply every day. Her engaging style, authenticity, and natural stage presence have inspired thousands at conferences, corporate events, schools, and workshops across Australia.
Brooke is also an accomplished media personality, having appeared on Nine Network’s Discover Downunder and TV Week Logie-winning show What’s Good for You, earning a Logie nomination for Best New Female Talent. She combines her television experience with motivational speaking, television presenting, product ambassadorship, swim clinics, and charity advocacy, including her roles as Ambassador for Starlight Children’s Foundation and Life’s Little Treasures Foundation.
Author of her autobiography, When Silver Is Gold: The Brooke Hanson Story (2009), Brooke channels her experiences of triumph, heartache, and resilience into inspiring audiences to live purpose-driven lives, embrace challenges, and prioritise what truly matters.
