Anne Edmonds is a rock star of Australian comedy, known for her fearless and hilarious stand-up that spares no target. Since bursting onto the scene in 2010, she has won the Director’s Choice and Piece of Wood Award at the Melbourne Comedy Festival and received multiple Melbourne Comedy Festival Award nominations.
A master of character comedy, Anne has created iconic personas such as Helen Bidou, the fashion and beauty “krackspert” from ABC’s Get Krack!n, and has brought her sharp wit to television shows including Taskmaster Australia, Have You Been Paying Attention?, Fisk, The Project, and Hughesy We Have A Problem. She also created, wrote, and starred in her critically acclaimed ABC series, The Edge of the Bush.
Anne’s solo shows, including Helen Bidou: Enter the Spinnaker Lounge and What’s Wrong With You?, have earned multiple award nominations, with her 2020 Amazon Prime special bringing her comedy to an international audience.
