Quick Contact
Alisa Camplin OAM is best known for winning Australia’s first ever Winter Olympic gold medal in freestyle aerial skiing at the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympics, where she famously landed a triple-twisting double somersault just six weeks after breaking both ankles. Demonstrating extraordinary mental toughness, Alisa went on to overcome the pressure of repeat success, winning World Championship gold, holding the World No.1 Grand Prix ranking for multiple seasons, and securing Olympic bronze at the 2006 Turin Winter Olympics—just four months after her second major knee reconstruction. Remarkably, her journey from never having seen snow to standing atop the Olympic podium took just eight years.
Beyond elite sport, Alisa has built a distinguished career in leadership, governance and human performance. She was the Australian Winter Olympic Team Chef de Mission for the 2026 Milano–Cortina Winter Games, having previously served as Deputy Chef de Mission for the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics and as Sport Performance Manager for the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics. She continues to mentor Olympic medallists, coaches and emerging leaders across sport and administration.
Alisa also enjoyed a highly successful 16-year corporate career with IBM Australia and the United Kingdom, working across sales, delivery, strategy and large-scale transformation. She held senior leadership roles across Australia, New Zealand, the UK and Ireland, including Head of Strategy and Transformation for IBM Global Technology Services UK & Ireland.
Today, Alisa works closely with leading academics, behavioural scientists, neuroscientists and organisational psychologists. She has consulted to and coached hundreds of C-suite executives and emerging leaders globally, supporting organisations of all sizes to build repeatable, sustainable success by improving wellbeing, resilience, mindset and human performance.
A deeply experienced Non-Executive Director, Alisa currently serves on the boards and audit committees of several high-profile organisations, including the Australian Olympic Committee and the Olympic Winter Institute of Australia, where she is Deputy Chair. Her previous governance roles include Deputy Chair of the Australian Sports Commission, Chair of the Australian Sports Foundation, and Non-Executive Director of the Collingwood Football Club and the Royal Children’s Hospital Foundation (Melbourne).
In 2011, Alisa and her husband Oliver founded the charity Finnan’s Gift following the loss of their first-born son to congenital heart disease. Since its inception, the charity has raised over $3.5 million to support paediatric cardiac care across Australia.
Alisa holds a Bachelor of Information Technology and an Honorary Doctorate from Edith Cowan University. She is a Member of the Order of Australia and the first female Patron of the Collingwood Football Club. Having lived and worked in London, Hong Kong and Singapore, Alisa now resides in Melbourne with her husband and two children.
As a keynote speaker, Alisa draws powerfully on stories from both the Olympic arena and the boardroom. With a fresh, authentic and practical approach, she breaks down performance psychology and shows how high performers consistently plan, prepare and adapt through adversity. More than an inspiring story of courage and resilience, Alisa connects deeply with audiences and equips them with tools that create lasting change—helping individuals and organisations believe that better is not only possible, but achievable.
