Sharyn Ghidella is a respected news anchor, journalist and versatile presenter, as well as a highly regarded host and MC for corporate and charity events across Australia. Currently fronting Queensland’s 10 News First, she has more than 30 years’ experience in media, including reporting, producing and presenting, and is well remembered as the face of Qantas Inflight News for many years.
Sharyn has anchored coverage of major national and international events, including the Iraq War, Cyclone Larry, Brisbane flooding, Royal Tours, Commonwealth Games, high-profile trials, and Steve Irwin’s memorial. Her career spans morning television, hard news, and live event broadcasting, underpinned by her journalism and public relations degree with Distinction from Queensland University of Technology.
In addition to her media work, Sharyn is a committed philanthropist and ambassador. She serves on the Board of the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital Foundation and champions causes including the Allison Baden-Clay Foundation, the Kokoda Track Foundation, Variety, Humpty Dumpty Foundation, Queensland Firebirds and Community Access Respite Services.
