Quentin Jones is one of Australia’s foremost experts in leadership, culture and organisational development, recognised for pioneering the link between leadership behaviour, culture and sustained business performance. For more than 20 years, he has been at the forefront of innovation and research in this field, making a significant contribution as a thought leader, consultant, educator, business leader and network builder, and helping position Australia as a global leader in leadership and culture science.

In 1999, Quentin instigated and chaired the first Australian Conference on Culture and Leadership, creating a national forum for research and practice in cultural transformation. By 2010, the conference had grown to attract almost 3,000 participants, featuring eminent international researchers and Australia’s leading CEOs from organisations including AMP, CSC, Lion Nathan and Rio Tinto, sharing their transformation journeys. In 2006, Quentin also introduced the Australian Culture Transformation Award, recognising organisations that achieve sustained cultural change.

Innovation and research underpin Quentin’s work. In 2006, he co-authored In Great Company – Unlocking the Secrets of Cultural Transformation with Emeritus Professor Dexter Dunphy, a major research project examining the drivers of successful cultural transformation in leading Australian organisations. This research was updated and republished in 2011 to address the challenge of sustaining culture change during periods of economic uncertainty. He has also sponsored doctoral research at the University of Sydney examining the role of leader reflexivity in organisational transformation.

As a consultant, Quentin has supported transformation initiatives across both the private sector — including BHP, Lion Nathan, AMP and Rio Tinto — and the public sector, working with organisations such as the Department of Primary Industries, the Royal Australian Navy, Centrelink, CSIRO, and multiple local governments. His work has been widely recognised as instrumental in the development of constructive leadership and culture programs, with proven impact across many of Australia’s top 500 organisations.

Quentin is the Managing Director of CLS360, where he works with leaders and organisations to identify, measure and transform leadership behaviour. CLS360 is the creator of the Circumplex Leadership Scan 360°, the world’s first evidence-based interpersonal circumplex leadership assessment. The tool scientifically measures the full range of interpersonal leadership behaviours, providing deep insight into how leaders influence others and drive performance through culture.

Prior to founding CLS360 in 2013, Quentin was Managing Director of Human Synergistics for almost 15 years. During his tenure, his leadership, business strategy and marketing capability delivered sustained growth, achieving a compound annual growth rate of 22 per cent and establishing the organisation as a market leader in organisational diagnostics.

A highly regarded public speaker, Quentin is known for combining rigorous research with practical application. He has presented to audiences including the Australian Institute of Management, American Chamber of Commerce, and the Sustainable Human Capital Management Conference, and has spoken internationally at conferences in London and Helsinki. For more than a decade, he has also served as Master of Ceremonies for the Australian Conference on Culture and Leadership, shaping national dialogue on leadership effectiveness.

In addition, Quentin has built a community of practice of more than 1,500 leadership and culture practitioners across Australia and into Asia, strengthening capability and collaboration throughout the region.
