Preston Campbell is a former professional rugby league footballer and one of Australia’s most respected sporting ambassadors. He played as a five-eighth or fullback in the NRL for the Gold Coast Chargers, Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks, Penrith Panthers—winning the 2003 NRL premiership—and the Gold Coast Titans. He also represented New South Wales Country, the Dreamtime Team, and Indigenous All Stars, scoring 84 tries across 267 professional games during his 14-year career.
Honoured with the Dally M Player of the Year and the Ken Stephen Medal for outstanding community contribution, Preston has translated his on-field leadership into a lifelong commitment to supporting communities. He is the founder of the Preston Campbell Foundation, established in 2015 to empower Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples by connecting them with culture, wellbeing, and opportunities to achieve their aspirations. He also serves as an ambassador for Deadly Choices and partners with the Titans Community team.
Preston’s work focuses on grassroots football, mentoring, and inspiring individuals, families, and communities. Through his talks, he shares his personal journey, lessons in resilience, and insights into leadership, teamwork, and living “above the line,” showing how sport can create meaningful change in people’s lives.
