Peter Bland is a profound and influential orator and a skilled facilitator. He is the first Australian to venture to both the North and South Magnetic Poles. His expedition to the North Magnetic Pole is a testament to his resilience.

He undertook this arduous journey, covering 700 kilometers across the frozen Arctic Sea, merely 12 months after undergoing his second major heart surgery. Notably, Peter survived an avalanche in Antarctica and a terrifying fall equivalent to the height of a 14-story office building, where he remained stranded for three days.

Following his wilderness adventures, Peter embarked on a mission to raise over $14 million for Australian charities and created three television documentaries. His biography, “A Step Too Far,” published by Pan Macmillan, achieved best-seller status.

In 2002, Peter established The Leadership Group, aiming to impart the invaluable lessons learned from his polar expeditions. He has successfully guided more than 200 complete novices to Antarctica, teaching them essential skills such as ice climbing, kayaking, snowshoeing, and camping in sub-zero temperatures. In 2014, Peter led the world’s first mentor-mentee philanthropic Indigenous expedition to Antarctica, known as ‘Outback to Icecap.’

Peter is a highly sought-after speaker and workshop facilitator, having shared his real-life experiences with various corporate clients over the past 21 years.

In 2020, Peter and his wife Beatrice established Wattle Bank Farm in South Gippsland as a haven for individuals and groups to explore fearless and wholesome living for the betterment of both people and the planet.

Peter defines fearless and wholesome living as not recklessness or naivety but freedom from limiting beliefs carried forward from the past. It means being at peace with oneself as is, with nothing added or taken away. This journey necessitates vulnerability and humility to undertake inner work, peer beyond the masks of ego and inauthenticity, and confront underlying fears. Peter excels in leading this transformative work, guiding individuals and teams towards authenticity and inner strength.

Peter showed us you can achieve the un-achievable, if you have confidence and have belief in yourself and the people you work with. Don’t be limited by standard conventions or historical performance levels, but stretch the limits, explore new horizons, because unless you do you will never know what you can achieve. He is living testimony to this ethos. An inspiration to us all. Elders Limited NSW
Peter’s achievements make you realize just how much bigger the world is than the reality of your everyday existence and how if you set yourself a goal, plan it systematically and stick to your plan, anything is achievable. Essendon Football Club
