Joel Creasey is one of Australia’s most acclaimed, irreverent, and versatile entertainers, with a career spanning stand-up comedy, radio, television, theatre, and publishing. He has performed at major comedy festivals, including the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Adelaide Fringe Festival, Sydney Comedy Festival, and Montreal’s Just For Laughs Festival, where he was twice named “one of the highlights” by the Montreal Gazette.
On television, Joel has established himself as a versatile and engaging host and performer. He has hosted the Eurovision Song Contest for SBS Australia for seven consecutive years, including Australia Decides, and has appeared on shows such as The Project, Show Me the Movie!, Take Me Out, and Neighbours. Joel has also featured in documentary-style programming, including ABC’s New Leash On Life and Gaycrashers, showcasing his ability to connect with audiences through humor, heart, and humanity. His theatre work includes co-writing and performing the solo play The Boy, George, which debuted at the Midsumma Festival in Melbourne.

He has been recognized with numerous awards and honors, including Best Presenter at the LGBTI Awards, Cosmopolitan’s Rainbow List, Comedian of the Year at the GQ Men of the Year Awards, and appointment as an Ambassador for the Adelaide Fringe Festival.
