Gill Minervini is a leading creative director, producer, curator, and consultant with over 30 years’ experience in festivals, large-scale events, and public art. Renowned for her innovation, inclusiveness, strategic vision, and financial effectiveness, Gill creates memorable experiences that enhance destinations, increase visitation, and elevate cultural profile.

As founder of Gill Minervini Creative, she provides festival and event direction, public art curation, and creative strategy to a range of high-profile clients, including the Adelaide Festival, Museum of Old & New Art (MONA), Barangaroo Delivery Authority, Rugby League World Cup, Transport for NSW, City of Melbourne, City of Parramatta, Tourism WA, and Events Tasmania.

Gill has served as Festival Director of Vivid Sydney since 2021, directing the record-breaking 2022, 2023, and 2024 festivals, with nearly 3.5 million attendees in 2023 and 17 International Festivals and Events Association Awards, including the Gold Grand Pinnacle Award. Other highlights include Dark MOFO’s Winter Feast, Barangaroo Welcome Celebrations, B-Line Public Art Project, Riverbank Palais (Adelaide Festival), Firelight Festival (Docklands), and the opening ceremony of the 2017 Rugby League World Cup.

Previously, Gill was the first Festival Director of Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras, directed City of Sydney Events, and curated major public programs including Lunar New Year Festival, Art & About Sydney, and Sydney’s Christmas Celebrations.

Gill is also a seasoned media professional, having worked as a TV presenter, ABC Radio and 2UE announcer, and panellist on Beauty and the Beast. She regularly engages as a speaker, facilitator, and host.

Gill holds a Master of Creative Arts from the University of Wollongong.
