Dr Arne Rubinstein is a medical doctor, counsellor, mentor and keynote speaker whose passion lies in helping teenagers—and the adults who support them—navigate the transition to adulthood with confidence and purpose.
CEO and Co-Founder of the Rites of Passage Institute, Arne is an internationally recognised expert and author who has spent more than three decades reintroducing healthy rites of passage into modern society. His programs, training and camps have reached more than 350,000 people and are used by major corporations and leading educational institutions across Australia and around the world.
A global voice on transformational leadership, Arne has delivered keynotes and facilitated training in over 25 countries. Highlights include leading 150 men from 42 nations at the European Men’s Gathering in 2018 and serving as a senior facilitator at the first International Gathering of Rites of Passage Facilitators in Hawaii in 2009.
His cross-cultural work is extensive and deeply respected. Arne has collaborated with multiple Aboriginal groups, including supporting a landmark rite of passage for Butchulla boys on Butchulla Country in Queensland—reviving a ceremony that had been dormant for more than 200 years.
A father of two young men and a mentor to countless others, Arne leads by example, inspiring individuals to embrace their potential and live with purpose. His mission is bold and enduring: to return meaningful rites of passage to the centre of our communities and ensure young people step into adulthood with strength, clarity and belonging.
In 2024, Arne was awarded the Order of Australia (OAM) for his outstanding contribution to the wellbeing of young people.
