Tim Horan is widely regarded as one of the greatest centres in Rugby Union history. He made his Wallabies debut as a teenager in 1989 against the All Blacks, quickly establishing himself as a game-changing player. At the 1991 Rugby World Cup, Tim played a pivotal role in Australia’s triumph, most famously scoring from David Campese’s iconic over-the-shoulder, no-look pass in the semi-final—a try replayed endlessly in rugby highlights.
In 1994, a serious knee injury threatened to end his career, but after 12 months of recovery, Tim made a remarkable comeback at the 1995 World Cup. His illustrious career culminated in 1999 when he became one of only six players to win two Rugby World Cup medals, helping Australia secure its second title and earning a year’s supply of Guinness for scoring the fastest try of the tournament. Tim’s skill, resilience, and leadership have made him a legend of the game.
