Nigel Collin is a leading expert in mindset, innovation and adaptability, helping organisations drive sustainable growth through practical, research-driven strategies. As the founder of the trademarked Game of Inches® methodology, Nigel empowers teams to embrace change, take consistent small steps and build adaptability into the fabric of their organisations.
Nigel draws on extensive real-world business experience, combined with academic rigour and insights from his Ingenious Oz Research initiative. Travelling across Australia on a solo motorbike journey, he uncovered the stories of ingenious Australians, transforming these insights into actionable strategies that align bottom-up ingenuity with organisational objectives.
Nigel started his first business at 20 and sold it at 21, later building one of Australia’s most prominent creative entertainment design companies within the Business Events sector. He is the author of three books, including Game of Inches, and shares his research-backed stories through engaging, high-impact presentations.
He holds prestigious professional recognitions including Certified Speaking Professional (CSP)—the highest accreditation in the speaking industry—membership with the Australian Institute of Training and Development (AITD), membership with the Australian Institute of Company Directors (MAICD), and is a Golden Key International Honours Society recipient. Nigel is also an alumnus of the Disney Institute, a TEDx speaker, past Chair of Meetings and Events Australia (MEA), and the only speaker to be awarded the Outstanding Contribution to Meetings and Events.

When not speaking, consulting, writing or riding his motorcycle, Nigel splits his time between Sydney and the rural mid-north coast of NSW with his family.
