A multi-award-winning journalist, Mark Gibson has been a reporter and presenter across television and radio since 1991. He is a highly sought-after MC and a compelling corporate speaker.
Whether reading prime-time TV news, reporting from international disaster zones, interviewing everyday Australians or rubbing shoulders with Hollywood celebrities, Mark is a gifted and versatile broadcaster and storyteller.
Mark Gibson is the host of the ABC Radio Breakfast program in Perth, WA.
After completing the Broadcasting course at WAAPA in 1991, Mark cut his teeth in Sydney and Melbourne media, before returning to Perth in 2001. He spent the following two decades as a leading reporter and presenter at Channel Seven across news, current affairs, sport and weather. He also drew high praise for his presenting role on Telethon, the most successful televised charity event in the world.
In 2020, Mark returned to radio, hosting various talkback programs on 6PR, before taking on the prestigious role of Breakfast host on 720 ABC Perth in January 2024.
Mark is also a highly sought-after master of ceremonies, with clients ranging from football clubs to mining companies, government departments, health and aged care providers, universities, charities and not-for-profits.

Dementia is an issue very close to Mark’s heart. Following the death of his beloved grandmother from Alzheimer’s Disease, in 2019 he became an ambassador for Dementia Australia.
