Lord Nicholas Stern is one of the world’s leading authorities on the economics of climate change and sustainable development. A former Chief Economic Advisor to the UK Government, Lord Stern also served as Chief Economist and Senior Vice-President of the World Bank (2000–2003) and has played a pivotal role in Europe’s economic development as Chief Economist and Senior Advisor to the Director of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
