As Australia’s number one ‘combat comic’, he has completed seven ‘tours of duty’ performing in army bases in East Timor, Iraq, Kuwait, UAE, Afghanistan, Egypt, Qatar and on a number of naval ships around the world.

Lehmo is a regular on the festival circuit having performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, the Adelaide Fringe Festival, Perth and Adelaide Fringe Festival and the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. These shows have included:

Lehmo is well known on radio having interviewed everyone from Prime Ministers and Premiers to award-winning actors and rock n’ roll legends. During the footy season, he hosts ABC radio’s Grandstand every Saturday and Sunday morning  and he also makes regular guest appearances on the Triple M network throughout the week. However, he gained his reputation on radio as co-host of the GOLD 104.3 breakfast show with Jo Stanley. They finished up at the station while they were the number 1 FM breakfast show in Melbourne. From 6am to 9am every weekday morning, they kept Melbourne laughing (and sometimes crying) with their unique brand of humour.

Prior to Gold 104.3, Lehmo was at Mix FM in Melbourne with Brigitte Duclos and the national drive show on Triple M with Wil Anderson. And prior to this, Lehmo’s radio career started on the number one rating SAFM breakfast show in Adelaide.

Lehmo is a regular panellist on Network Ten’s The Project and team captain on Fox Footy’s AFL-themed quiz show The Beep Test. He also stars as series regular ‘Jim’ in the Logie award-winning Working Dog TV production Utopia, which airs on the ABC and Netflix. He has popped up on Have You Been Paying Attention? and featured in roles on It’s A Date, critically acclaimed Please Like Me, and long-running TV series Neighbours (as himself). He has appeared as a guest on Drunk History Australia, Hughesy, We Have A Problem, A League Of Their Own, Can Of Worms, Good News Week, Rove Live, The Circle, The Glasshouse, Hey Hey It’s Saturday and Stand Up Live (UK TV). Lehmo was also a regular cast member of the much loved Before The Game for over six years on TEN. Lehmo has had cameos in the the Working Dog film Any Questions For Ben? and the comedy That’s Not My Dog!

In 2018, Lehmo hosted the ABC’s coverage of Sydney’s Invictus Games, and in 2019, he co-hosted the ABC’s live broadcast of the Australian of the Year announcement.

Lehmo has a regular column in The House Of Wellness magazine. He has also written for The Herald Sun The Big Issue. Lehmo released a memoir titled This Shirt Won’t Iron Itself, in 2017.

Lehmo has an extraordinary knack of making people laugh, that’s why he’s regarded as one of Australia’s best stand-up comedians and an audience favourite.
