John Peters is a former RAF pilot, Squadron Leader, best-selling author and internationally acclaimed speaker. During the Gulf War, John was shot down over Iraq, captured and held as a Prisoner of War for seven weeks. Enduring extreme physical and psychological adversity, he emerged with a unique perspective on resilience, leadership and performing under pressure.
Since retiring from the RAF in 2000, John has built a successful management consultancy, helping organisations develop leadership, strategy and performance. He has spent over 15 years on the public speaking circuit, captivating audiences worldwide—from corporations and charities to schools, royalty and heads of state—with insights on leadership, change, motivation, uncertainty and resilience.
John is a Fellow of Kingston and Henley Business Schools, Director of Performance for the Executive MBA at Aston Business School, and Chair of the Association of MBAs. He is Patron of KidsOut and the Battle of Worcester Society, Honorary President of Throckmorton Airshow, and Worcester Ambassador.
He has authored two best-selling books and a BAFTA-nominated documentary, Tornado Down, and continues to inspire audiences through his experience, leadership expertise and extraordinary life story.
