Jimeoin is one of the most acclaimed stand-up comics of his generation—a true master of observational comedy. A prolific writer with exceptional audience rapport, he is renowned for his razor-sharp wit and warmly absurd takes on everyday life.
Based in Melbourne, Jimeoin is a highly polished MC and headline performer whose stand-up routinely has audiences in stitches. A regular at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, his national tours attract sell-out crowds and frequently add extra shows due to demand. He was also the first comedian to tour “over the top” of Australia, performing everywhere from theatres and hotels to cattle stations and swimming pools—a journey captured in the BBC Northern Ireland television series Jimeoin Down Under.
Internationally, Jimeoin has toured to widespread acclaim from New York to New Zealand, Aspen to Amsterdam, and throughout Europe, the UK, the Middle East and the Far East. He has enjoyed multiple successful seasons at the Edinburgh Fringe, performed in London’s West End, and is a regular invitee to Montreal’s Just For Laughs Festival.
A familiar face on Australian television, Jimeoin has appeared on virtually every major comedy and variety program, including Rove Live, The Panel, Thank God You’re Here, Good News Week, Spicks and Specks and Talkin’ ’Bout Your Generation. His three-series self-titled show on the Seven Network consistently won its ratings slot. International television appearances include Late Night with Conan O’Brien in the US and Des O’Connor Tonight in the UK.
Jimeoin’s hugely successful DVDs and albums include Over the Top, Third Drawer Down, Jimeoin On Ice, Something Smells Funny, The Craic and Forklift Truck. The Craic was a box office phenomenon, becoming one of the highest-grossing Australian-produced films of its time and achieving major international success.
An accomplished host, Jimeoin has fronted events such as the Royal Variety Performance, Live at the Apollo, the Royal Gala Performance, Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow, and the SBS World Cup program The Full Brazilian.
Away from the stage, Jimeoin is a keen fisherman and golfer, using his constant touring schedule as an excuse to explore new outdoor adventures—always with a sense of humour close at hand.
