Jeff Thomson is widely regarded as one of the fastest bowlers in the history of cricket and a fearsome competitor for Australia in the 1970s and 1980s. In just 51 Test matches, he took 200 wickets at an extraordinary strike rate, making him one of the most lethal bowlers of his era.
Renowned for his pace, aggression, and intimidating presence on the field, Jeff famously bowled at 160.6 km/h against the West Indies in Perth in 1975, at the time the fastest recorded delivery in cricket and still among the fastest ever. His extraordinary talent, skill, and impact on the game earned him induction into the Australian Cricket Hall of Fame in 2016.
