Erin Phillips is a dual-code sporting superstar, celebrated for her exceptional careers in both basketball and Australian football. A trailblazer in the AFLW, Erin quickly became the competition’s first genuine star, setting benchmarks for professionalism, leadership, and high performance.
The daughter of a South Australian football legend, Erin excelled as a point guard for the Adelaide Lightning in the WNBL before being drafted in 2005 by the Connecticut Sun in the WNBA. She went on to win WNBA Championships with the Indiana Fever and Phoenix Mercury, represented the Australian Opals for over a decade, including two Olympic Games, and earned multiple World Championship medals. Erin also enjoyed success overseas, winning three Polish league championships and two All-Star awards.
With the launch of the AFLW in 2017, Erin returned to her first sporting love, bringing her elite experience to Australian football. Her leadership and professionalism helped shape the AFLW’s culture and inspired a generation of female athletes.
Away from sport, Erin and her wife Tracy are proud mums to three children. She is a passionate advocate for women’s sport, diversity, innovation, health, fitness, family, animal welfare, and the environment.
A highly sought-after speaker and ambassador, Erin represents brands including Puma, Chemist Warehouse, Toyota, Metro Homes, and the AFL, and is an accomplished television and radio media performer.
