Diana Chan is a chef, MasterChef Australia Season 9 champion, and culinary entrepreneur. Born in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, Diana developed a love of cooking from a young age, learning from both her parents. Her mother’s fresh, herb-driven style and her father’s love of seafood inspired her own unique approach to food. After moving to Melbourne, she further honed her culinary skills by exploring Australia’s vibrant farmers’ markets and embracing fresh, local produce.
Diana began her professional life as an accountant at one of the Top 4 accounting firms but soon decided to pursue her true passion for cooking. Her determination and talent led her to compete on MasterChef Australia’s ninth season, where she was crowned the season’s champion. Her style, passion, and honesty quickly won her a devoted following.
Since her MasterChef win, Diana has become a prominent figure in the culinary world, making numerous media appearances on TV, radio, and print both in Australia and internationally. She has collaborated with major corporate, government bodies, and developers including DFAT, Sofitel, Crown Hotels, UEM Sunrise, and Beulah International. Her charm and expertise have also opened doors to opportunities in Australia, Dubai, India, Singapore, and Malaysia.
Diana has partnered with brands such as Vogue, Samsung, Lexus, Brosa Designs, Woll Cookware, Tanqueray, Kenwood, Bird’s Eye, Sirena Tuna, and Cobram Estate, contributing to social media campaigns, cooking demonstrations, and public engagements. She is a regular face on Australian television, with appearances on Asia Unplated (SBS Food), Ten Minute Kitchen (Channel 10), and The Healthy Cooks (Channel 9).
A passionate supporter of charitable causes, Diana works with organisations including Beyond Blue and OzHarvest. She is also the creator of her own range of dumplings with Golden Wok, now available in all major Australian supermarkets. Diana continues to inspire audiences with her warmth, creativity, and dedication to sharing the joy of cooking.
