Dan Anstey is an award-winning Australian radio and television presenter, comedian, and media personality, celebrated for his quick wit, engaging presence, and versatility across broadcast, television, and live events. With a career spanning over 15 years, Dan has become one of Australia’s most recognizable and respected voices in media.
Originally from Brisbane, Dan graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Queensland. While his early career suggested a path of calculations and technical precision, Dan’s passion for communication and entertainment led him to swap equations for the microphone. In 2007, he began his media journey alongside Leon Murray at Brisbane’s community television station, co-creating the comedy movie review program Reel2Reel. The show allowed Dan to showcase his humor, timing, and on-screen presence, establishing him as a rising talent in Australian media.
Dan quickly transitioned into radio, joining Nova 106.9 Brisbane. There, he delivered live crosses for the breakfast show, anchored a weekly panel, and hosted his own program, The Dan Anstey Show, which aired weekdays from 1–4pm. His ability to blend humor, insight, and relatability with professional broadcasting skills earned him a loyal audience and set the stage for a national career.
In 2012, Dan relocated to Melbourne, expanding his presence on both radio and television. He worked alongside Hughesy & Kate on Nova 100.3 and Fifi & Dave on FOX FM before taking on his current role as co-host of Triple M Brisbane’s breakfast show Marto, Margaux & Dan. On television, Dan has become a familiar face as a regular contributor to The Project, host of Nine Network’s ManSpace alongside Shane Jacobson, and frequent guest across a wide range of programs.
Beyond his on-air work, Dan is a highly sought-after MC, host, and speaker for corporate and live events. He is known for his natural ability to engage audiences, combining humor, insight, and spontaneity with professionalism and authenticity.
