Angry Anderson is a tattoo-covered rock legend, charismatic frontman of the iconic Australian hard rock band Rose Tattoo, and a passionate advocate for disadvantaged youth. With over 45 years in the entertainment industry, Angry has built a career that spans music, film, television, and theatre, including appearances in the Mad Max trilogy and the rock opera Jesus Christ Superstar.
Beyond the stage, Angry is celebrated for his charity work and social advocacy. He has supported numerous organisations, including the Prince of Wales Children’s Hospital, Ronald McDonald House, Bear Cottage, Odyssey House, Oasis, Cancer Research, Amnesty International, Greenpeace, and the Make-A-Wish Foundation. His dedication to youth led to his appointment as a Member of the Order of Australia on Australia Day 1993, recognition as an Australia Day Ambassador, and long-term involvement with initiatives such as the Dunn & Lewis Youth Development Foundation and Black Dog Ride.
Angry’s music career has enjoyed both national and international acclaim, highlighted by hits such as Suddenly (popularised on Neighbours) and multiple ARIA recognitions, culminating in his induction into the ARIA Hall of Fame in 2006. Despite his busy advocacy schedule, he continues to tour with Rose Tattoo, sharing the stage with bands like Guns N’ Roses and ZZ Top.
