Lyndey Milan is a globally recognised food, wine and lifestyle personality whose forte is presenting seemingly complicated ideas in an easy, straight-forward and entertaining manner. Awarded Best in the World Food TV Show at the Gourmand World Awards 2016, she has been instrumental in changing the way we think and feel about food and wine.

A successful business woman, Lyndey and her partner John Caldon are the co-founders of Flame Media, a TV production and distribution house specialising in high quality factual entertainment and documentary content with offices in London, Sydney, Singapore, Cardiff and Greece.

In 2014 Lyndey was awarded an OAM in the Australia Day Honours List for service to hospitality, the food and wine industry and the community.

Lyndey Milan is a highly engaging, highly skilled and energetic presenter, host and MC who is always in demand for any event involving food and wine and for any audience, whether a gathering of 'home cooks' or wine aficionados.

Hospitality of the table' is Lyndey's catchphrase, as evidenced by her numerous television appearances, best-selling books and countless culinary appearances over the years as she maintains her position at the forefront of Australian cuisine. She is a popular regular guest on the Nine Network's Morning Show and was co-host of Fresh on the same network for over eight years. This followed a media career encompassing most TV and radio networks, radios 2UE and 2GB, and innumerable magazines and newspapers.

Since 2011 Lyndey has hosted five television series including Lyndey Milan's Taste of Australia, Lyndey Milan's Taste of Ireland, Lyndey's Cracking Christmas, Lyndey & Herbie's Moveable Feast, co-hosted with spice king Ian 'Herbie' Hemphill and Lyndey & Blair's Taste of Greece with her late actor son and co-host Blair. All have been seen by international audiences.

Lyndey has written several best-selling books including Lyndey's Taste of Australia Cookbook, Lyndey & Blair's Taste of Greece, Just Add Spice (Penguin), co-authored with Ian 'Herbie' Hemphill and The Best Collection, Fast, Fabulous Recipes (New Holland) and What Works and Why (with Colin Corney) which won Best Food and Wine Writing at the 2006 Australian Food Media Awards.

She contributes to Selector magazine, a quarterly publication for food and wine enthusiasts after more than ten years at ACP including as Food Director of The Australian Women's Weekly. She also spent 12 months as Associate Food Director and major contributor to BBC Australian Good Food magazine.

Lyndey also runs a successful consultancy business that includes public speaking, appearances, cooking classes and demonstrations, food and wine appreciation classes and advising food and wine clients - in fact anything to do with food, wine, agriculture and lifestyle.

She is vice president and councillor of the Royal Agricultural Society and was founding chair of the Fine Food Committee which judges thousands of Australian products in categories including aquaculture, branded beef, branded lamb, bread, cake and pie, coffee, beer, pasta and noodle, regional food, olive oil and deli meat.

Lyndey sits on Tourism Australia's Food and Wine Advisory Committee. She is past President of the Australian Association of Food Professionals (formerly Food Media Club Australia), Wine Communicators Australia (formerly Wine Press Club), and sat on the Tourism NSW Food and Wine Advisory Committee for a decade. She is an Ambassador for Australia Day, judges for many industry organisations and works voluntarily for various charities including as co-Founder and Patron of Tasting Success, a mentoring program for female chefs.

Lyndey Milan was awarded the highly prestigious Australian Association of Food Professionals (formerly Food Media Club of Australia) Industry Peer Award in 1999 and 2008 - the only person to do so twice. In 2011 Lyndey won The Vittoria Legend Award at the Sydney Morning Herald's Good Food Guide 2012 awards and was named as a NSW finalist in the Hudson Private & Corporate Sector Award category of the Telstra Business Women's Awards. In 2015 Lyndey's Taste of Australia cookbook won Best TV Chef Cookbook at the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards, and at the Frankfurt Book Fair's Best of the Best in the last 20 years, it came an impressive third. In 2016 Lyndey won the coveted title of the Best in the World Food TV Show of 2016 at the Gourmand World Awards for her television series Lyndey Milan's Taste of Australia.

Lyndey is much in demand for personal appearances as various food and wine shows, masterclasses and as a facilitator, debater, food judge and MC.
