Yvette is a true entrepreneur, having started six businesses—her first being a newspaper at just 17. Two of these businesses have since been successfully sold. Today she is the founder and partner of The Creative Collective, a full-service marketing agency specialising in branding, websites, digital marketing, and training. She is also the founder and owner of AwardsHub.com, an online portal that helps individuals and organisations find and enter business awards.

From 2019 to 2021, she was an official Facebook Community Trainer and completed multiple global certifications in Facebook’s suite of products.

In addition to running businesses, she is a Twice-Published Author. Her books include No Kidding – Why Our Kids Know More About Us Than Technology and What We Need To Do About It and More Than Meets The Eye, a biography on my paternal grandfather. She is also a Media Commentator & Speaker and is regularly called upon as a keynote speaker, facilitator, and MC for events.

Beyond business, she has chaired and participated in several leadership roles, including as Chair of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (Sunshine Coast) and the Sunshine Coast Council‘s Knowledge & Professional Services Industry Task Force.

Originally from Wellington, New Zealand, she spent much of my 20s traveling the world (three year-long, round-the-world trips!) and was based on the Sunshine Coast, in Queensland from 2004 – 2024. She is currently working remotely from New Zealand.

As a proud dual citizen of both New Zealand and Australia, she is passionate about supporting causes related to technology, youth, entrepreneurship, and education. She is also an avid property investor and loves anything to do with the ocean.
