Subby Valentine is one of Sydney’s most experienced, versatile, and successful comedians — as well as a respected radio personality, writer, raconteur, and television pundit.
With an extensive background across Triple J, Triple M, Mix FM and ABC Radio, Subby developed a reputation as a sharp interviewer and engaging broadcaster. Over the years, he has interviewed major international stars including Michael Bublé, Billy Bob Thornton, Owen Wilson, James Blunt and Daniel Radcliffe, among many others.
These broadcasting skills have translated seamlessly into his work as a highly sought-after corporate MC. Professional, adaptable and quick-witted, Subby has the rare ability to keep events running smoothly while entertaining audiences with spontaneous humour and intelligent interaction. His natural warmth and love of audience engagement make him a popular choice for organisations such as Amnesty International, Nestlé, Masterton Homes, the Wales Tourism Board, Oxfam and Austereo.
As a stand-up comedian, Subby has headlined comedy festivals throughout Australia and performed internationally in Singapore, Hong Kong, London and Edinburgh. His talents extend beyond stand-up into television and radio writing, sketch comedy acting and content creation.
He was a major contributor to the highly successful Morning Crew on 2DAYFM with Wendy Harmer and Greg Fleet, hosted the Tom and Subby Show on the Triple M Network, and co-hosted Sammy and Subby in the Morning on Mix 106.5 FM. Subby has also written for and appeared in Network 10’s cult sketch series SkitHouse, been a frequent guest on ABC’s The Fat and The Glasshouse, and hosted SBS’s The Men’s Room. He continues to appear weekly on the popular Thank God It’s Friday segment on Richard Glover’s Drive program on 702 ABC Sydney.
Whether performing stand-up, hosting an awards night, or steering a corporate conference, Subby Valentine brings intelligence, professionalism, and sharp comedic timing to every stage.
