Samantha Armytage is one of Australia’s most respected and recognisable journalists, with more than 22 years’ experience across television news, current affairs and breakfast broadcasting. She is best known as co-host of the Seven Network’s No. 1 breakfast program, Sunrise, where she became a trusted voice in Australian households.

Throughout her distinguished career, Samantha has anchored morning, afternoon and 6pm news bulletins and reported from the field on some of the most significant events of our time. Her coverage includes the Christchurch mosque massacre, the 2015 Paris terror attacks, the Queensland floods, the Cronulla riots, the Black Saturday bushfires and the New Zealand mine disaster, for which she and her team won the 2011 Logie Award for Best News Coverage. She has also reported on wars in East Timor and Iraq, the Bali bombings and major political events from elections to federal budgets.

Samantha began her career in the Canberra Press Gallery as Chief Political Correspondent for SKY News and holds a Communications degree in Broadcast Journalism from Charles Sturt University.

A columnist for The Sunday Telegraph’s Stellar Magazine and 2020 Everest Carnival Ambassador, Samantha is a polished and engaging MC and panel facilitator, bringing credibility, warmth and sharp insight to every event.
