Sam Moran is a performer who truly understands how kids think and love to be entertained. The only entertainer to star on both ABC and Nickelodeon, Sam is best known as the former Yellow Wiggle and as the host of Play Along With Sam on Nick Jr. He toured the world with The Wiggles ten times, including 18 sold-out shows at New York’s Madison Square Garden, and continues to appear daily on Nick Jr (UK), Sprout! (US), Disney Channel (Latin America, Australia & parts of Asia), ABC (Australia) and KidsCo (Europe, Asia & Middle East).
As the Yellow Wiggle, Sam recorded over 10 albums and DVDs, won five ARIA Awards, and was inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame in 2011. He also recorded duets with Kylie Minogue, Keith Urban and Leo Sayer, and in 2009 received an Honorary Doctorate from Macquarie University in Children’s Education and Psychology.
With his own family and an adult-contemporary album available worldwide via Sony Music, Sam launched Play Along With Sam in 2013, leading young viewers through music, movement, letters, wordplay, imaginative games, and problem-solving. The series’ accompanying 20-track album debuted at number one on the Australian iTunes chart, reached the international top ten, and earned Sam his first solo ARIA nomination for Best Children’s Album. That same year, he presented the Preschool Category at the International Children’s Emmy Awards in New York and became the first official ambassador of The Sebastian Foundation, in addition to serving as a national ambassador for Variety Children’s Charity.
Sam’s live shows have toured nationally, including Westfield tours, Christmas regional tours, and headlining the ‘Little Splendour’ stage at Splendour in the Grass. He has performed with the Western Australian Symphony Orchestra at Perth Zoo, and won the ARIA Award for Best Children’s Album for his 2015 release Boo!. In 2016, he earned a Logie nomination for Best Children’s Program.
