Robyn Holt is a highly respected design consultant, media executive and board director, recognised as a leader in the design, media and creative industries. Her career spans more than three decades across Australia, Russia and the United Kingdom, with senior roles in media, publishing, fashion, beauty and design.
As a CEO, editor and management consultant, Robyn has built a reputation for strategic leadership in some of the world’s most competitive magazine and fashion markets. Design journalism and styling were her professional passion for more than 20 years. She served as Editor-in-Chief of Vogue Living Australia for over a decade and later held the role of CEO of global media brand Monocle, now recognised for its groundbreaking digital identity.
Over a 35-year career, Robyn held senior executive positions with major international companies including Condé Nast and Sanofi Pty Ltd. During her tenure with Condé Nast in Russia, she launched titles such as Architectural Digest, GQ and Glamour, and led Vogue Russia to become the country’s leading magazine.
In 2009, Robyn established a management consulting practice in Sydney, advising senior corporate and government leaders on project management, leadership and strategic thinking. She is also in demand as a host, panel moderator and speaker at design-related events and was invited to present at the Australian Institute of Management’s Outstanding Women’s Series.
Her media work includes hosting the television series The Renovators and presenting a regular design segment on daytime television. Robyn has lectured in branding for Macquarie University’s Museum Programme, worked with the Western Australian Museum on the rebranding of its six museums, and teaches business principles and strategic thinking at Megan Morton’s the school.
Robyn has held numerous board and governance roles, including non-executive director of Voyages Hotels Pty Ltd, Governor of Taronga and Western Plains Zoos, Trustee of the Australian Museum, Chair of Northern Territory Tourism, Councillor of the Australian National Maritime Museum, and a current board member of the UNSW Arts, Design & Architecture Faculty. She is also a board director of The Bradman Foundation.
A published author, Robyn has written a children’s book and produced Residence, the award-winning monograph of international interior designer Thomas Hamel. She is a member of Chief Executive Women (CEW) and the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD).
