Ricky Ponting AO is a former captain of the Australian cricket team and one of the most decorated cricketers in history. He retired in 2013 as Australia’s leading run scorer in both Test and ODI cricket, winning more matches as player and captain than any other Australian. He ranks second only to Sachin Tendulkar in total Test runs scored.
Since retiring from international cricket, Ricky has become a highly sought-after commentator, appearing on BT Sport, SKY TV’s world feed, and Australian coverage of the Test and Big Bash Leagues, where his insights and tactical expertise continue to influence the game. His coaching career highlights include an IPL championship with the Mumbai Indians (2015) and a runner-up finish with the Delhi Capitals (2020).
Off the field, Ricky is co-founder of the Ponting Foundation, supporting young Australians and their families in the fight against cancer, and co-founder of Ponting Wines in collaboration with award-winning winemaker Ben Riggs.
