Prue Adams is an international award-winning journalist and documentary maker with more than 35 years experience in television, radio, print, on-line and social media and resides in Adelaide Hills, South Australia.

Prue has hosted her own radio program in a Californian ski resort, been a TV news reporter and presenter, and a current affairs journalist for The 7:30 Report.

But the job of a lifetime was the 25 years spent with the ABC’s national television program, Landline. A camera crew and Prue travelled across Australia and the world – researching, producing and presenting stories vital to rural and regional communities.

Through Prue Adams Media, she is continuing to tell stories using audio, video and the written word.

Her many years of presentation experience are being put to good use as an in-demand conference MC, moderator and public speaker.

Prue is also the Vice President of Rural Media and Communicators SA/NT, is on the Australian Council of Agricultural Journalists committee and is one of three judges (the other two in Canada and the UK) on the International Federation of Agricultural Journalists Star Prize Awards.

Prue has a strong  background in agricultural and rural journalism and is a sought after MC. Her point of difference is that she is well known and regarded in agricultural and rural circles.  Her tag line/motto is “speaking for rural Australia”.

Prue Adams was a fantastic MC for the PIEF Conference in both 2022 (Brisbane) and 2023 (Adelaide). She researched the subject material, provided interesting commentary and was engaging as a conference MC. BIE Creative, Event Organiser
Prue is one of those rare story-tellers who is not only professional and engaging, but also tenacious in her research, making her an absolute delight to work with… I had the privilege of working with Prue for a Landline feature story, and then the pleasure of sharing the stage with her at a charity lunch she donated her time and expertise for. CEO, Foodbank Australia
Prue’s capacity to engage with the community, analyse an issue, condense and convey it simply and accurately has been insightful and much appreciated. (former) CEO, Wine Australia
Prue is a highly skilled film maker and broadcaster who loves her work and that shows in the finished product. Executive Producer, Landline ABC-TV
You can’t look much further than Prue to find an MC, or a host, with real passion for regional and rural Australia and an absolute professional approach to the task. We use Prue for our Regional Showcase Awards and her ability to engage with the audience lies in her very warm personality and the research she puts into each event. She really connects and that helps improve the experience of our events. Above all, Prue is a delight to work with. Solstice Media
