Peter Byrne is one of Australia’s most versatile and celebrated entertainers, renowned for his international singing career in popular music and folk, and as the creator and star of award-winning Neil Diamond tribute shows. With a career spanning decades, Peter combines professional productions, a sparkling personality, and a touch of Irish charm and humour to create unforgettable performances that delight audiences of all sizes.

Born in Dublin, Peter began singing in pubs and quickly gained recognition, supporting the Fureys early in his career. He moved to Australia, performing in Sydney pubs, weddings, and private functions, before creating his first Neil Diamond tribute show, Forever Diamond. This production, along with his later Hot August Night shows featuring orchestras of up to 40 pieces, has earned Peter national acclaim, television appearances, and a loyal fan base.

Peter has appeared on Australian television programs including Good Morning Australia and The Midday Show, performing live 18 times over the past 20 years. His tribute productions, including His Music, His Life and Celtic Beat – Legends of Ireland, celebrate the music of Neil Diamond and iconic Irish artists such as the Fureys, Foster and Allen, The Corrs, U2, and Van Morrison.

An accomplished performer in intimate settings or on grand stages, Peter Byrne has received multiple ACE Awards, MO Awards for Best Production Show, and the personal acknowledgement of Neil Diamond himself: “Thanks for the great tribute.”
