Pete Lazer is one of Australia’s most in-demand television hosts and live event MCs, renowned for his infectious energy, polished professionalism and ability to engage audiences ranging from intimate corporate gatherings to stadium crowds of more than 90,000.

With a career spanning television, major sporting codes and large-scale public events, Pete has hosted game shows, lifestyle programs and dating shows across Channel 7, Channel 9 and Channel 10. From hosting Channel 7’s The Great Weekend and the audience-favourite game show Cabin Pressure, to fronting Channel 9’s Shopping for Love and On Display, Pete is a familiar and trusted face on Australian television.

Pete is equally at home on the world’s biggest stages. As a match-day MC, he has worked extensively with the AFL, Cricket Australia, Hyundai A-League, Melbourne Storm, Formula One, Netball Australia and Melbourne Victory, regularly hosting at the MCG and Marvel Stadium. His versatility has seen him work across sport, fashion, entertainment and corporate sectors, including Miss Universe Australia (2006–2012), Moomba concerts, Flemington fashion events, and major entertainment showcases.

Pete has hosted major national and international events including the Melbourne Commonwealth Games in both 2006 and 2018, the Australian Grand Prix, and New Year’s Eve celebrations at Federation Square, where he has counted down to midnight for over 15,000 partygoers for 14 consecutive years. During the 2006 Commonwealth Games, Pete’s voice and presence on the swimming pool deck became synonymous with the electrifying atmosphere that defined the event.

In addition to live hosting, Pete has been the face of major national campaigns, including Primus Telecom, appearing across television, radio, outdoor and digital platforms. He also travels nationally as the frontman for ANZ’s Breakout Campaign and regularly hosts premium brand and charity events across Australia.

A respected writer, Pete contributes feature articles to Postcards Magazine, Golf Australia Magazine and Edge Magazine. He is also deeply committed to philanthropy, having served as a board member of Variety – the Children’s Charity and Chair of the Young Variety Committee. His charity hosting work includes events for My Room Children’s Cancer Charity, the Royal Children’s Hospital, the Allanah and Madeline Foundation, Parkinson’s Victoria, Brainwave and the EJ Whitten Foundation, helping raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for vital causes.
