Pat Farmer is a renowned Australian ultra marathon runner, world record holder, and humanitarian, whose remarkable career has spanned over three decades. He is best known for his extraordinary feats of endurance and his unwavering commitment to raising awareness and funds for important causes.

Awarded the prestigious Order of Australia, AM, Pat has become a global icon in both the sporting and charitable communities. His notable achievements include running over 20,000 kilometers from the North Pole to the South Pole, an endeavor that took him 10 months and 13 days, averaging 80 kilometers a day. Pat’s impressive career also includes setting multiple world records, including running the Spirit of India Run, where he covered 4,417 kilometers in just 65 days to raise funds for the Nanhi Kali foundation, supporting the education of girls in India.

Beyond his athletic prowess, Pat’s legacy extends into politics and philanthropy. He served for eight years as a Member of Australia’s Parliament, including a term as Parliamentary Secretary for Education, Science and Training. Throughout his life, Pat has raised millions of dollars for various charitable causes, including the Lifeline Foundation, Cancer Council, The Red Cross, Diabetes Australia, and others.

Pat’s commitment to global peace and unity was exemplified in his Middle East Peace Run of 2014, which spanned Lebanon, Jordan, Israel, and Palestine. His mission was to unite people through sport, transcending borders and fostering a message of global harmony.
