Neale Whitaker

Neale Whitaker is one of Australia’s most respected style and design authorities, renowned for his role as the long-standing judge on the multi-Logie-winning renovation series The Block and co-host of Foxtel’s Love It or List It Australia. British-born and based in Sydney since 1999, Neale combines decades of publishing expertise with his engaging television presence to inspire and educate audiences on style, interiors, and lifestyle.

Neale began his career in London working for legendary PR guru Lynne Franks and in publishing for high-profile retailers including Marks & Spencer, Debenhams, and IKEA. He launched Food Illustrated for Waitrose, setting new standards in UK food publishing, before moving to Australia to edit Marie Claire Lifestyle. He went on to edit Vogue Entertaining + Travel, launch the best-selling food magazine delicious, and lead interior design bibles Belle and Vogue Living, before taking on an Editor-at-Large role to focus on television and media commitments.

Since joining The Block in 2010, Neale has been celebrated for his frank honesty, warm humour, and distinctive British charm. For over a decade, he has provided expert advice to contestants and entertained millions of viewers nationwide. In 2017, he began co-hosting Love It or List It Australia alongside property expert Andrew Winter, further cementing his reputation as a trusted voice in design and property.

Neale is also a sought-after speaker and MC, delivering engaging presentations and lifestyle tours across Australia, sharing his expertise on interiors, trends, and style. He has partnered with premium brands including King Living, Wattyl Paint, and MINI, and in 2021 launched the Neale Whitaker N|W Collection of bedlinen, towels, and home accessories in collaboration with MyHouse Australia.
