Natalie Bassingthwaighte is one of Australia’s most celebrated and versatile entertainers, achieving success as an actress, musician, television presenter, and author. As an actress, Natalie is best known for her iconic role as Izzy Hoyland on the long-running television series Neighbours (2003–2007), a performance that earned her critical acclaim and enduring recognition. She reprised this role for the show’s 30th Anniversary special and has also appeared in Underbelly: The Golden Mile, The Lost World, and numerous stage productions including Grease, Rent, Footloose, Chicago, and the highly successful season of Love, Loss and What I Wore.
Natalie has a distinguished career in television presenting and judging. She co-hosted the 2010 ARIA Awards, won a Logie Award for her three-year tenure hosting So You Think You Can Dance, and served as a judge and mentor on The X Factor Australia and The X Factor New Zealand, where she guided Beau Monga to victory. She has received Logie nominations for Most Popular Actress and Most Popular Presenter, as well as two Gold Logie nominations.
In music, Natalie has achieved both national and international success. As the frontwoman of The Rogue Traders, she achieved multi-platinum album sales, two APRA nominations, seven ARIA nominations, and an MTV award. Her solo album, 1000 Stars (2009), debuted at number one on the Australian charts, making her one of only ten women to ever achieve an ARIA No. 1 as a solo artist.
Outside of performance, Natalie is a passionate advocate and philanthropist. She serves as an ambassador for the Sony Foundation and the Vicks Breathe for Life campaign with Save the Children Australia. In 2015, she launched Chi Khi, a children’s clothing line, further demonstrating her creativity and entrepreneurial spirit.
