Mundanara Bayles is a proud Aboriginal woman of Wonnarua, Bunjalung, Birri-Gubba, and Gungalu heritage, with a family legacy of activism and advocacy. She is the co-founder of BlackCard, alongside Dr Lilla Watson, delivering cultural capability training to organisations and communities.
With over 20 years’ experience across education, employment, media, and health, Mundanara has built a proven track record in driving meaningful change. She serves on multiple boards and committees supporting Aboriginal education, governance, and empowerment, and has been internationally recognised for her work in education (AFHEA, UK). She holds qualifications in media, business, and training, and is currently completing a Master’s in Indigenous Business Leadership at Monash University.
Mundanara is also the host of Black Magic Woman, the first Indigenous podcast to join the iHeart network, amplifying First Nations voices and stories. In recognition of her leadership and impact, she was named Indigenous Businesswoman of the Year at the 2023 Supply Nation Awards.
