Moana Hope is one of Australia’s most accomplished women’s footballers, renowned for her goal-kicking prowess, resilience, and leadership both on and off the field. Starting her senior representative career at just 16 with Victoria, she quickly earned All Australian selection and went on to play for Darebin, St Kilda Sharks, and Melbourne University Football Clubs, as well as representing Victoria, Australia, and the Western Bulldogs in AFL Exhibition Games.

A dynamic forward, Moana patrolled the forward 50 for over a decade, breaking records with standout seasons that included 100 goals in 2016. She later transitioned to the AFLW, representing Collingwood and North Melbourne, bringing her elite skills and passion for the game to the biggest stage in women’s sport.

Beyond her football career, Moana is deeply committed to wellbeing and resilience. She has shared her story widely through media appearances, speaking engagements, and her autobiography My Way, inspiring audiences to overcome challenges, embrace change, and pursue personal growth. She has been the face of campaigns for leading brands including NIKE, McDonald’s, NAB, and Myer, and has used her platform to promote positive mental health, self-belief, and perseverance.

Moana also manages a successful Traffic Management Company, is the full-time carer for her sister Vinny, and balances her family life with her wife Isabella Carlstrom. Her personal and professional journey demonstrates courage, adaptability, and the importance of prioritising wellbeing alongside high performance.
