Maureen Jordan holds a Bachelor of Arts (Economics) and a Law Degree (Honours) and has built a distinguished career in media, publishing and financial services while successfully balancing professional life and family commitments.

She is the founder of the Switzer Group, which operates across media and publishing and financial services. Over more than 25 years in media, Maureen has held senior editorial and publishing roles, including Editor-in-Chief of Charter Magazine for the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia.

A respected business author, Maureen has written several influential publications, including Women Entrepreneurs for the Federal Office of Women, Small Business Start-Up Guide published by Allen & Unwin, and Finding and Managing Your Mortgage for Wiley Publishing.

As Group Publisher of Switzer Media & Publishing, Maureen has initiated and managed the production of specialist books, magazines and digital content for many of Australia’s leading organisations. Her client list includes Optus, the Mortgage & Finance Industry Association, IBM, Hewlett-Packard, the Commonwealth Bank, Telstra, AMP, IP Australia, Yahoo7, the University of New South Wales and law firm Griffith Hack.

Switzer Media & Publishing holds the Australian and New Zealand licence for Harper’s Bazaar, with Maureen serving as Publisher of both the monthly magazine and its digital platform.

In recognition of her contribution to business, Maureen was inducted into the Australian Business Women’s Hall of Fame in 1996 and was a finalist in the Sydney Business Review Business Woman of the Year awards in 2003.

Earlier in her career, Maureen taught in public and private secondary schools and lectured at the University of New South Wales. Her deep understanding of economics, small business and the legal landscape underpins her credibility as a trusted adviser, speaker and mentor to business owners and professionals.
