Marty Rowell is an ecopreneur and passionate advocate for the circular economy. With a focus on building sustainable organisations, he co-founded and serves as CEO of the rapidly growing Australian company The Cup Exchange (TCX).

A natural problem-solver, Marty started and sold his first business by the age of 21. After travelling the world, he gained extensive corporate experience working with organisations such as NBN, Telstra, and VERNet. Inspired by ABC’s The War on Waste, Marty identified the environmental challenge of disposable coffee cups and co-created TCX with his brother Jeremy—a cloud-based system providing reusable items as a service, dramatically reducing single-use waste and landfill.

Marty is a sought-after keynote speaker, sharing how TCX was built on the foundations of the circular economy. He demonstrates how purpose-driven business can deliver intergenerational benefits while leveraging innovation, technology, and sustainability to create meaningful impact.

Marty holds a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance (Macquarie Graduate School of Management), a Master’s degree in Entrepreneurship and Innovation (Swinburne University of Technology), and a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing (Monash University).
