Mark Bickley

Former Player & Coach of The Crows, Broadcaster, MC & Speaker

Adelaide’s dual premiership captain Mark Bickley began his football life in Port Pirie before progressing to South Adelaide, where he played 53 SANFL games. In 1991 he made his AFL debut with the Adelaide Football Club, quickly becoming one of the Crows best and most reliable contributors and was appointed captain in 1997, coinciding with the arrival of Malcolm Blight.

Mark would lead his side to a flag in his first season in the role, courtesy of a rousing grand final win over St Kilda. The following year saw him repeat the accomplishment against hot favorites North Melbourne. Mark retired in 2003 after a then club record 272 AFL games in 13 seasons.

He is an Adelaide Football Club life member, an AFL life member and in 2009 was inducted into the Australian Football Hall of Fame.

Mark was also an assistant coach at AFL level for six years in his post football years.

Currently, Mark spends his time on SEN breakfast radio partnered with Jarrod Walsh, as well as his General Manager position with the fast-growing Magain Real Estate.
