Affectionately known as ‘Lozza’ and ‘Loz’, Laurie Daley AM is a legendary former Australian rugby league player and coach, and an engaging co-host of The Big Sports Breakfast on Radio 2KY. A captivating keynote speaker, Laurie draws on his extraordinary rugby league career to inform, entertain, and delight audiences.

Laurie played as a centre and five-eighth for the Canberra Raiders during their golden era, winning premierships in 1989, 1991, and 1994. He represented Australia 26 times and was named among the nation’s finest players of the 20th century. Rising from teenage prodigy in Junee to senior statesman, Laurie’s attacking brilliance and defensive reliability made him a linchpin of three premiership-winning campaigns.

Notable highlights include being the competition’s second-highest try scorer in 1989, making his Australian debut in 1990, captaining Australia in 1993, and being named Rugby League Week’s player of the year in 1995. Laurie finished his 244-game career exclusively with Canberra, scoring 87 tries and earning a place in bronze at Canberra Stadium.
