Kevin Walters has achieved nearly everything in rugby league. As Head Coach of the Queensland Maroons State of Origin team, he has led his side to back-to-back series wins in his first two years, becoming only the third Queensland coach, alongside Arthur Beetson and Mal Meninga, to do so.
As a player, Kevin won six premierships, represented Queensland and Australia, and was part of the 1992 Kangaroos World Cup-winning squad. His playing career began in Canberra, where he was named NRL Rookie of the Year and won his first premiership in 1987, before moving to the Brisbane Broncos and enjoying immediate success.
Kevin’s coaching career spans over two decades, including stints with the Toowoomba Clydesdales, Ipswich Jets, Catalans Dragons in France, and as an assistant at Melbourne Storm and the Brisbane Broncos under Wayne Bennett and Craig Bellamy. His guidance has delivered premiership wins and grand final appearances at every level.
A highly engaging keynote speaker, Kevin combines lessons in leadership, teamwork, and high performance with entertaining stories from his playing and coaching career. He is also a popular NRL commentator, appearing regularly on Fox Sports programs such as NRL 360 and Queenslanders Only.
Kevin Walters lives in Brisbane with his wife Narelle and their five children.
