Jess Adamson is a highly respected journalist, event host, and keynote speaker with over 24 years of experience in the Australian media industry. A standout figure at the Seven Network, Jess has covered some of the world’s most significant news events, including the 2004 Boxing Day tsunami, the Bali bombings, the Bali 9 drug trials, the Beaconsfield Mine disaster, the Sydney and Beijing Olympic Games, and the 2008 Tour de France.

From 2014 to 2020, Jess was Seven’s top-rating Weekend News Presenter, showcasing her credibility, insight, and engaging style. Her excellence in journalism has earned her multiple prestigious awards, including SA Journalist of the Year (2006) and Best Broadcaster of the Year (2015) at the SA Press Club Awards.

Raised on a family farm in Hallett, South Australia, Jess has a strong connection to rural and regional communities, which informs both her reporting and presentation style. She began her career at the Stock Journal newspaper before joining 7NEWS in 1997 as a crime reporter, where she earned a reputation as one of South Australia’s finest journalists. In December 2014, she transitioned to the role of Weekend News Presenter while continuing her impactful work as a reporter.

Outside of her media career, Jess is a passionate advocate for youth and health causes. She serves as an ambassador for the Royal Flying Doctor Service and CanTeen, an Australian organization supporting young people living with cancer. Additionally, she is a Board Member of the Breakthrough Mental Health Research Foundation and Sids and Kids SA.
