Since taking the stage in 2001, Jason Chong has become a versatile comic who can headline, MC, and engage audiences anywhere. Known for his quick wit, sharp comedic timing, and a unique passion for technology, Jason delivers shows that are clever, energetic, and unforgettable.
He has headlined festival shows including Reel Life (2011), Sort of the Rings (2006, 2009), EmotiChong (2007), and Minority Retort (2008), earning accolades such as Adelaide’s Comic of the Year in 2009 and a Judges Commendation for Reel Life. Jason has also created long-running residencies and educational shows, from Going Ape at the Zoo (2006–2008) to Why the Bloody Hell Aren’t Ya? (2009–2010). He is currently touring as part of Il Dago.
Jason’s media work spans radio, podcasting, and television. He presented NOVA 919’s Nights (2005–2008), contributed to SAFM’s Breakfast, and hosts podcasts including the Adelaide Comedy Podcast and daily 10 Secs Education. Television appearances include The Footy Show, Today (Channel 9), The 7pm Project (Ten), The Squiz (SBS), and The Mansion (Comedy Channel). In 2011, he hosted Festival Fishbowl, an online program showcasing over a hundred comedians during the Adelaide Fringe Festival.
