Jamie is one of New Zealand’s most in-demand leadership speakers — a record-breaking adventurer and CEO who turns extreme expeditions into practical lessons in performance.
In 2007, Jamie became the first Kiwi to reach the South Pole unsupported on foot, completing a 52-day trek with fellow adventurer Kevin Biggar and earning global media attention for their disciplined, business-style approach to survival in the world’s harshest environment.
He also holds a world record for rowing 5,000km across the Atlantic Ocean in a tiny boat, has captained rowing crews against Cambridge and Oxford during his management studies, and has held leadership roles across multiple industries. He is currently CEO of Inspiring Performance.
Jamie’s philosophy — performance through people — underpins both his consulting work and his adventures. His initiatives have empowered thousands, including The Big Walk, a nationwide youth programme that saw thousands of young Kiwis undertake learning-based adventures, culminating in Ministers, CEOs and participants co-creating a strategy to combat New Zealand’s negative youth statistics.
A strategic thinker with an unmatched ability to turn big goals into practical action, Jamie is widely regarded as one of New Zealand’s most booked speakers and workshop facilitators, working with organisations around the world.
In 2011, he led the design and delivery of training for 7,000+ Rugby World Cup volunteers, shaping a “uniquely New Zealand” customer experience for a global audience.
Today, Jamie continues to help teams elevate their leadership, communication and performance — unlocking potential and inspiring people to achieve far more than they thought possible.
